About Us
School supplies are bought from many different suppliers
The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) declared:
A generous person is close to Allah, close to Paradise, close to people, and far from Hell. However a miserly person is far from Allah, far from Paradise, far from people, but close to Hell. Allah loves more an ignorant man who is generous than a worshipper who is miserly. (Tirmidhi)
Our Vision
To assure every child that there is always a helping hand to support and uplift him/her.Our Mission
To work hand in hand, helping children to build a foundation and creating opportunities for their ultimate success and well-being.Who Are We?
Halimah’s Helping Hands is a registered NGO that helps children in need of assistance maximize their full potential through education. Hisham and Haajra Mohammed, a husband and wife duo, brought their dream to fruition in 2014 as a form of perpetual charity after the sudden passing of their daughter Halimah Aishah Mohammed.
Since the genesis of the foundation, children of all denominations and religions have been nominated by their principals to be recipients of care packages. Due to the overwhelming response, it has become evident that the charitable organisation has quickly filled a massive demand. From working with 50 children in July 2014, numbers grew to 84 by September of that same year. In 2015, the organisation expanded the number of schools across the country and has been screening families to determine their needs and how best they can assist.
Our Objectives
1) Before anything else, to earn the pleasure of Allah (s.w.t), who is the Most Merciful and Most Gracious to all His creations.
2) To create a means of Sadaqah Jariyah or perpetual charity for Halimah Aishah Mohammed, daughter of Hisham & Haajra Mohammed.
3) To create a means of Sadaqah Jariyah for Masuma Mustapha, grandmother of Halimah Aishah Mohammed.
4) To strive to provide a better quality of life for children globally.
5) To promote the holistic education of children who do not have access to requisite resources.
6) To provide educational resources and fund educational opportunities for children up to age eighteen who meet the criteria of the foundation.
